Business Takes Action (BTA) is a Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters initiative aimed at promoting the benefits of hiring qualified People with Disabilities to meet skill shortages” in the workplace. BTA is a government-funded program focused on ensuring organizations in Ontario and across Canada are up to date with the information, policies and tools necessary to employ and accommodate People with Disabilities. BTA works with industry leaders to offer workshops, seminars and conferences to educate employers about workplace accessibility and other important topics surrounding the employment of People with Disabilities.
On September 28th, 2010 BTA will be holding their 3rd annual Minding What Matters Conference at the Palais Royale in Toronto ON. Minding What Matters is “an educational Conference for executives, human resource leaders and hiring managers to learn about AODA employment legislation and hiring people with disabilities”.
The Conference will feature:
- Leaders in the field of disability and mental illness in the workforce
- Comprehensive tools and best practices to successfully recruit, hire and retain people with disabilities including iPal’s cutting edge Business Takes Action Online Human Resources Guide, created exclusively for BTA.
